The National Biosecurity Response Team (NBRT) is a group of skilled and trained government personnel with experience in responding to biosecurity incidents. The NBRT program provides professional development and response/exercise opportunities that build on the training provided by the member’s organisation, in order to provide a pool of individuals with relevant expertise that can be deployed in response to an animal, plant, aquatic or environmental biosecurity incident.
There are two cohorts within the NBRT – the incident management team functional cohort and mentors – that cover the functions under a State Coordination Centre or Local Control Centre. Current membership is drawn from the national and all state/territory governments in Australia.
This NBRT members’ site will act as a repository for relevant documents and articles, and as a platform for NBRT-related discussions and queries.
