The National Fruit Fly Council is a government and industry committee formed to work with growers and fruit fly management community groups to control fruit fly across Australia.
The Council considers the management of the problematic species
Mediterranean fruit fly and
Queensland Fruit Fly, which affect yield and market access for Australian produce, as well as efforts to prevent other
exotic species from establishing.
This site provides information on the aims, activities and membership of the Council and access to a collaborative workspace for Council members.
